My cushion collection has steadily been growing and the best part is they’re all home made! I like that because it makes them unique and I don’t walk into someone else’s house and see the same thing everywhere! It gives you more of a chance to be a little more original, creative and fun! So in an effort to colour-up our apartment, I give to you… the colourful pom pom cushion!

How to Make the Cushion
I’ve used the same technique as the Gold Tassel Cushion from last week, so click through the link for the full set of instructions. Alternatively, you could purchase a cushion from the store and attach the tassels to it!
How to Make the Colourful Pom Poms
The trick to get a nice and colourful pom pom is to hold each different coloured wool strand in your hand at once. Now wrap it around your palm like so…
Now you need to cut a separate thread of wool to tie around the centre, nice and tight.
Now trim it and fan out the ends. You may need to trim it to make sure you have a round-ish shape.
Now you need to attach your pom poms with a needle and thread… be sure to start from the inside so the tail of your thread remains hidden. Stitch each of the four pom poms onto the corners of the cushion and you’ve got yourself a pretty jazzy cushion!
