By my Bedside: Pennyfeatured

This week Penny Demetriou from The Nourishing Space give us her must have hippie dippy bedside items.

One: Little Kikki K journal
I keep a little Kikki K journal beside my bed to jot down things I need to do or remember, so that my mind isn’t racing as I go to sleep! Some days I’ll do a gratitude list or add ideas for blog posts or things I want to look up the next day.

Two: Rose Quartz stone
I recently bought this crystal from the Bondi markets and will often lie in bed with the crystal in my hand or under the pillow as I meditate or say affirmations. Rose Quartz is the stone of unconditional love that opens the heart chakra to all forms or love: self-love, family love, platonic love and romantic love. The high energy of quartz gives rose quartz the property of enhancing love in virtually any situation.

Three:  Doreen Virtue Angel cards
I’ve been using angel cards for almost a year now and love to draw a single card for the following day, or a few cards to guide the week ahead. I look to my angel cards for guidance and answers on anything I’m working through or simply to bring awareness to a situation that might be unfolding in my life. I know you’re thinking this all sounds very woo woo, but they’ve been VERY accurate for everyone I’ve used them with!

Four: Coconut Oil
It’s safe to say that I am obsessed with coconut oil! Not only do I have a jar in the kitchen for cooking, but I also have a jar on my bedside table and use it to moisturise my body after a shower and once or twice a week I’ll pop a big dollop through my hair and sleep with it in a bun as a hair mask!

Five: Baby Love book
I’m currently 5 months pregnant, so when I’m not listening to meditation music or my health coaching lectures I’ll read a few chapters of a pregnancy book and will share with my husband what interesting things are developing for the baby.
